Where can I buy original paintings in Brisbane?

Paintings can be purchased through my website and online gallery www.karencollinsartist.com or in person at my home studio/gallery located in Murarrie, Brisbane

Are all your artworks original?

Yes, all the artworks featured in my gallery are original and unique. I do not sell prints or reproductions unless specified.

The images on canvas have come from my own mind, from my own photographs or en plein air.

Where can I view your artworks works prior to purchasing?

Yes, you are welcome to visit my home studio gallery in Brisbane to see the artwork physically. I encourage collectors to see the paintings up close, experience the textures, and appreciate the finer details that can be hard to capture online. Plus, I love sharing my full collection, and you might discover another piece that resonates with you!

I also regularly participate in group exhibitions around Brisbane and update my followers on Facebook and Instagram with event details.

How can I buy a painting from your online gallery?

For Australian customers, online payments are available through this website using www.stripe.com, an industry-standard, secure payment gateway. Stripe's cutting-edge technology ensures your financial information remains confidential. It employs the highest standards of encryption and security protocols to keep your data safe throughout the payment process.

Stripe accepts a wide range of payment methods including most credit cards and Apple Pay, making it convenient for you to make a purchase using your preferred payment option, while enjoying the peace of mind that comes with Stripe's security.

I also accept payment via PayID, Direct Deposit and cash.

Do you provide free delivery of paintings?

All paintings are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery. I use sturdy, protective materials to prevent damage during shipping. and free delivery to Australian locations is offered.

If you reside outside Australia, please email me for a quotation.

When would I receive my painting after it has been purchased?

If the painting is being delivered to you within Australia, please allow 1-2 weeks.

If you can visit my studio, you can collect at your convenience.

For overseas deliveries, the estimated time to deliver will be provided with the delivery quotation.

How can I commission a painting?

Please contact me to discuss your project.

I will provide a written quotation and time estimate and will request a 30% deposit prior to beginning the painting.

Refunds or returns?

Please contact me if there are any issues with your painting so we can discuss a full refund.

Note: Refunds will not be provided where due care of your painting has not been taken.

How do I care for my original painting?

My artworks are created using high quality, professional materials which will stand the test of time if cared for correctly.

  • Keep the painting away from the vicinity of heat sources such as stoves, fire places, heaters, floodlights, etc.
  • Keep the painting away from any damp or wet areas. Exposure to dampness can cause mold on the canvas and/or warping of the frame. Never hang a painting on canvas in a bathroom.
  • Do not lean the front or the back surface of a canvas painting against anything that is not flat. This can cause a permanent dent to develop in the canvas.
  • Do not lean the top or bottom edge of an unframed, stretched canvas or board against a wall as this could cause warping.
  • To keep dust from building up on the surface of the painting use a soft, dry, clean, large paintbrush. Do not press the hard onto the surface but use a light brushing motion. Special care must be taken around any areas of raised paint to ensure that the brush does not catch on and damage the paint.

Are the colours in the paintings true to what I see online?

I do my best to accurately represent the painting. However, due to differences in screen settings, the colors you see on your device may vary slightly from the actual artwork. If you'd like more detailed photos or descriptions before purchasing, please reach out.

Do you offer framing?

Some of my paintings come with frames, while others are sold unframed. If you would like to add a custom frame, please contact me, and we can discuss framing options.
